SLS has now entered its third year as an online, open-access departmental working papers (and its 40th anniversary of publication as SLS), and I join the editorial board, the Linguistics Department faculty, and the Linguistics Student Organization in inviting submissions to the 2011 volume. Please note that at the current time, we are only inviting submissions from faculty and students of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Submissions will be published as they complete an internal refereeing process, and each volume will be closed at the end of the calendar year. Major advantages of the new Working Papers format include universal, free, online access to your work and the ability to include electronic content in any format as an appendix to your article. Please consult the SLS stylesheet and example below.
SLS accepts submissions of original research articles from the students and faculty of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and outside authors by invitation. No open call for papers is issued. SLS may occasionally publish the proceedings of conferences and workshops in linguistics held at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Copyright will remain with the author under a Creative Commons licensing scheme.
